Now that we are back in the swing of things, having completely reminded ourselves how to evaluate expressions, we are ready to revist our favorite topic from last year: PATTERNS. I anticipate that tonight's homework will really get the gears turning (and that you may or may not need some WD40) and that you will begin to remember how to describe patterns you observe ALGEBRAICALLY. After all, isn't that what this is all about?
For those of you who might be looking for a little more (aka EVERYONE) here is the problem we will be warming up with tomorrow...see if you can bring an idea to class :)
