The work that you all did on the quiz, at first glance, looks very thorough. I look forward to correcting them this evening.
I hope you enjoyed the second quiz today - I will be interested in discussing the results next time we are all together! Luckily, none of you have reached the point where your math attitude has gotten out of control. Let's keep it that way!
There is no "real" homework over the break. There will be a chapter 2 test on Friday, 30 November. You may decide to begin to prepare for it now. You have your notebook, text book, and lesson masters as resources and practice. Don't forget about the chapter review (different from the progress self-test) at the end of the chapter which targets specific skills and concepts. It is never to early to review!
I hope you all have a safe and fun Thanksgiving break!

i am excited to get my quiz back this week! I feel very confident in my work. And i hope that everyoen had a good thanksgiving! I know i did!
i have a question... the opposite of two squared... i thought it would be like -2*-2=4 but evidently it says on my quiz that the opposite of two squared is -4... but why????
brendan -
its because if you follow the order of operations you would square 2 first, and then find the opposite of it. So the answer would be -4.
hey guys!
i left my lesson master at school, so if anyone has not yet completed theirs, could they possibly fax it to me??
thanks!
