Happy weekend-ing! I hope that amongst all of your September fun, you remember to include time to do your homework (section 1.4 (10-14) and section 1.5 (15-26)). Also remember to post something on the blog...I am loving the jokes, but want to see some bold, mathematical statements as well!
Section 1.4, which has us working on sets and scatterplots, is preparing us for the calculator work we will be doing in section 1.5. The technology integration in the new text book is incredible, and I anticipate that you will really enjoy it once you figure it out!
A few key words to make sure you have a working definition of are as follows: domain, roster, and set-builder notation. Remember that this blog is a forum for discussion - do not be afraid to use it to get in touch with your classmates with questions on the homework or different concepts covered in class.
See you Monday :)

miss.Hogan-
i understood everything in the beginning of activity 8, and i followed ms.burkes instructions, but hen i got lost. When it had us name the minimum and the maximum values, did it mean from the table, or from something else?
i am currently working on #6, and am still confused about how to used lists on my calcualtor, and neither can my dad. I will try to figure it out, but if i do not i will try to come in early tommarow morning!
