Believe it

How quickly the time goes!

I hope you enjoyed your time with Mrs. Burke while I enjoyed the fun that you all know to be Williamsburg. Mrs. Burke covered some very important uses on the calculator while I was gone, as well as covering absolute value in expressions and equations. Both of these topics were addressed on today's quiz. However, if you still are unclear about any issues relating to these topics, PLEASE COME SEE ME. Remember, we will be having a chapter test on Tuesday. If you have any clarifying questions or want to review, PLEASE COME SEE ME.

Tonight's assignment is to complete the Applying the Mathematics in section 1.7. This is continued application of data spread and m.a.d. I will be M.A.D if you don't have your work done tomorrow.

Also, retakes for the 1.1-1.3 quiz are Friday during lunch. Take this opportunity to improve your scores!

Gentle reminder: You are required to comment on the blog at least once a week. Please refer to the post "this blog RULES" if you need a reminder as to what your comment should be about.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

Hey Ms. Hogan!

I recently learned how to find the m.a.d. is (mean absolute deviation)
1. Find the mean of the data values
2. For each data value, find the absolute deviation from the mean.
3. Take the mean of the absoulute deviations.
